What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to notice, understand, and manage emotions, both your own and other people’s. It shapes how you handle stress, communicate, lead, and build relationships. This test follows the widely used five-part model popularized by psychologist Daniel Goleman.
You’ll see two kinds of questions: statements to rate, and short scenarios where you pick what you’d most likely do. Answer honestly rather than how you’d like to be.

Keep in mind
EQ is not fixed. It grows with practice, feedback, and reflection. Retake this test in a few months to see your progress. This is a self-assessment, so it reflects how you see yourself, and asking a trusted friend or colleague for their view can add useful perspective.
